David A. Fausch

David A. Fausch (MSJ58) is a member of the Medill Hall of Achievement.

Fausch retired as vice president of corporate public relations for The Gillette Company, where he handled the company's worldwide public relations activities. Fausch joined The Gillette Company in 1973 as director of corporate public relations.

Before arriving at Gillette, Fausch worked for Business Week magazine. During his 11-year tenure there, he served as assistant bureau chief in Chicago, bureau chief in Pittsburgh and editor of the management department in New York. In that time Fausch won a Loeb Achievement Award for financial writing and was a Professional Journalism Fellow at Stanford University. Before joining Business Week, he served in the United States Navy as an air intelligence officer.

Fausch is a member of the Public Relations Society of American and previously served as chairman and member of its international committee and director of its Boston chapter. He was the public relations seminar committee chairman in 1989. Fausch serves on the advisory board of the Simmons College Graduate School of Communications Management in Boston and is a member of the board of trustees of The Media Institute in Washington, D.C. He also is a board member of Community Work Services of Boston.

Fausch earned a bachelor's degree from Drake University.
