Jack Modzelewski

Jack Modzelewski (MSJ80) was inducted into the Medill Hall of Achievement in 2015.

Modzelewski retired in 2016 as the president of the Americas and senior partner at FleishmanHillard, Inc. in Chicago. Previously, he served as that company’s president and chief operating officer-Europe and senior partner in London, where he was involved in strategic planning, recruitment, client relations, acquisitions, business development, and liaison with FH’s operations in the U.S. and other parts of the world. He joined FleishmanHillard in 1990 to open its Chicago office, which he managed for nine years prior to being named to his position in London.

Modzelewski has nearly 25 years of experience working on strategic communications programs for more than 100 clients. Prior to joining FleishmanHillard, Modzelewski worked for the public relations firm of Burson-Marsteller (1983-86) and held executive positions at Golin/Harris Communications (1986-1990). He also worked five years in journalism (1979-83) for newspapers and a trade publication, and hosted a Chicago public affairs radio program in the 1980s.
