Sherry Jones

Sherry Jones (MSJ71) is a member of the Medill Hall of Achievement.

Jones is an award-winning television producer with dozens of productions to her credit. She is the head of her own independent production company, Washington Media Associates, which has received nationwide attention for films on social and political issues. Jones has produced 22 documentaries for the PBS series "Frontline," as well as numerous other PBS programs. Jones earned Emmy awards for four films.

Jones has also been honored with the duPont-Columbia Award, the George Foster Peabody Award, the Robert F. Kennedy Award and the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Overseas Press Club. In 1996, Jones was honored as a "Woman of Vision" by Women in Film & Video. She was a fellow of the National Security Archive in Washington, D.C.
