Jonathan Copulsky is lecturer in Medill’s Integrated Marketing Communications Program and member of the Spiegel Digital & Database Research Center’s Advisory Board. Copulsky obtained his B.A. from Haverford College and his M.B.A from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. At Medill, he teaches the IMC course in Brand Communications Decisions. With over thirty years of experience, he is an esteemed expert in many aspects of the strategic marketing field.
In addition to his work at Medill, Copulsky serves as Deloitte's Chief Brand Officer and as a senior partner with Deloitte Consulting. These roles include helping create iconic brands, overseeing Deloitte’s sponsorship marketing, corporate citizenship, research, publishing, and digital marketing activities and working with clients to tackle their most challenging sales and marketing issues. Prior to joining Deloitte, Copulsky was the Chief Marketing and Sales Officer and member of the executive committee at a NYSE-listed professional publishing and software company. Copulsky also writes and speaks frequently on issues related to sales and marketing strategy, and his work has been quoted in publications such as The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. He is author of "Brand Resilience," a critically acclaimed book on managing brand risks.
When he is not busy at Medill and Deloitte, Copulsky is an avid WBEZ listener and devoted Board member. Copulsky is also a member of the North Shore Distance Running Club and currently getting ready for his next marathon.
