Visit Medill

We strongly encourage prospective students to visit campus and experience a class, our campus and our facilities first-hand. The details of your visit will vary depending on when you come and whether you are pursuing undergraduate or graduate programs.

Undergraduate Program
Those interested in earning their bachelor's degrees at Medill should go to the Undergraduate Admissions Visitor Information site.

Graduate Programs
Those interested in earning their master's degrees at Medill should coordinate their visit through Medill's Office of Graduate Admissions. The most complete way to get more information about either our Master of Science in Journalism program or our Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications program is to attend an information session offered periodically throughout the year. These meetings are designed as question-and-answer sessions to allow prospective students to get exactly the information they need about our programs. If the class schedule allows, there will be current students present to share their perspectives.

If you are unable to attend an information session and would like to visit Medill, please contact the Office of Graduate Admissions to schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor.  We strongly recommend making an appointment in advance of your visit.

For those who cannot travel to Northwestern, representatives of Medill's Office of Graduate Admissions travel extensively during the fall to meet prospective students. Check to see if we are coming to your city or school.

Need directions? Check out the NU Visitor Information page for directions, transportation, and campus maps.  Also, tours of the Northwestern Evanston campus are offered by the Undergraduate Admissions Office and any visitors to campus are welcome to participate.

We look forward to meeting you!
