Scholarships
Each year, many Medill graduate students benefit from the generosity of Medill alumni, faculty and friends who have donated time and resources to provide scholarships. The Medill Scholarship Committee selects students for scholarships on the basis of merit, need, donor intent and/or a combination of these and other factors.
The Medill financial aid office strongly recommends that you research outside scholarships to help finance your education. Both www.scholarships.com and www.fastweb.com are free scholarship search engines that offer thousands of available scholarships.
A majority of Medill’s merit scholarships are awarded and announced with the offer of admission. Merit scholarships are awarded based on the materials in the application for admissions to Medill. Some merit scholarships could be awarded later in the process. If a student is awarded a merit scholarship, they will be notified by letter.
