Financial Aid Information for Admitted IMC Part-Time Students

Eligible candidates should do the following as soon as possible after being admitted:

  1. Activate your Net ID and password to access CAESAR, Northwestern's student information portal. CAESAR is a secure website that hosts a variety of important information, including financial aid and student account information.
  2. Log into CAESAR using your Net ID and password. In the upper left hand page is the "To Dos" section. Click on "Details". This will take you to your "To Do List". Find the "To Do Item", 2017-2018 Univ Aid Application. Click on Complete Univ Aid Application to access the online Medill University Aid Application. The Medill University Aid Application is for U.S. citizens and permanent residents only.
  3. File the 2017-2018 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov (U.S. citizens and permanent residents only). To ensure that Medill receives a copy of your form electronically, please include our school code, 001739, in the appropriate section.

After all of the required documents have been received in our office, expect an email (we will use only your Northwestern University email address) that will direct you to CAESAR to view your Provisional Financial Aid Award. The Provisional Financial Aid Award is to assist you with your enrollment decision.

International students will be considered for applicable scholarships. However, these are limited and as a rule international students should plan to support the full cost of attendance.
