Public Relations Society of America Anvil Awards

These awards are won as part of a team unless otherwise noted:

 

Marjorie Lipsey Benzkofer (BSJ91) and Christine Rogero Drab (BSJ98) won a Silver Anvil in 2003 for Fleishman-Hilliard, Inc. in Chicago. Benzkofer, a senior vice president, and Drab, a managing supervisor, won for "Take A Stand: Mobilizing SBC Employees to Deliver Infinite Service," which was a tiered change management campaign to drive SBC employees to deliver a higher level of customer service and, in turn, grow the bottom line.

 

Carole Gorney (MSJ66) won in 1999 in the "Outstanding Educator" category as professor at Lehigh University.

 

Judy Van Slyke Turk (BSJ70) won in 1992 in the "Outstanding Educator" category as dean and professor in the College of Journalism and Mass Communication at University of South Carolina.

 

Parry Sorensen (MSJ40) won in 1986 in the "Outstanding Educator" category as professor of communications at University of Utah.

 

Raymond Simon (MSJ42) won in 1975 in the "Outstanding Educator" category as associate professor of public relations at Utica College of Syracuse University.
