Andy Bosman (IMC98) was named the national marketing and sales leader for RSM US LLP in December 2013. He oversees the firm’s marketing, communications and business development activities, including integrated marketing and communications strategy design and implementation, brand management, client relationship experiences and marketing/sales integration and support. Bosman previously was the vice president, chief administrative officer of Navigant Consulting, responsible for leading the firm’s global corporate services teams. He moved into that role after
serving as Navigant’s chief marketing and communications officer for 10 years.
To this day, he still remembers a remark a professor made early in grad school: that the most critical need in the profession was to “know the business of the business.” Bosman says, “It helped me keep perspective on how Medill IMC balances in-depth technical expertise with strong foundational business skills.” He credits his success as CMCO, and now as CAO, to the Medill IMC curriculum, which shaped his role as a business leader, who happens to have “a diverse marketing and communications tool belt” that helps his company achieve long-term business objectives.
One of his favorite memories was bonding with the classmates at Nevin’s, a neighborhood pub, following intense, 3-hour Friday evening exams. “Those exams were an experience that brought the entire class closer together.”
