Welcome back to Medill. Medill Career Services (MCS) is available to provide support for alums’ efforts in furthering their careers. Please read the information below to see how we might best assist you.
As a Medill graduate, you have access to:
Individual Career Advising – MCS career advisors are available to discuss your search strategy, review resumes and cover letters, offer negotiation strategy, and consult on career-related issues.
MEDILLINK Database for Journalism and IMC Alumni – We welcome you to our career management system, which is for the proprietary use of Medill students and alumni and employers who wish to tap Medill talent. It allows you to:
• Upload multiple cover letters, resumes, clips, and other documents
• Apply directly to Medill-specific jobs posted in the system
• Save settings for job searches to be used again at the click of a button
• Set automatic notifications to announce when new postings are in the system
• Register for MEDILLINK or log in if you have already created an account
“New MEDILLINK Postings & Noteworthy Opportunities” Emails – MCS sends weekly announcements with new MEDILLINK postings to Medill Alumni listservs. The "Medill Alums" listserv receives these emails every week, and the geographic listservs will receive the email if there is a job posting from that area.

To Access Our Services:
MCS career advising is free of charge and available to all alumni of Medill’s degree programs in IMC and Journalism. Career Advisors will coach alums by phone, email, or in person on campus. The advising process covers a variety of career management issues, including resume review, job search strategies, and negotiations.
