Welcome to Medill Career Services (MCS)! We look forward to providing guidance in your efforts to further your career. Please read the information below to see how we might best assist you.

Process for accessing our services:

MCS services are available to all students of Medill’s degree programs in Journalism. Career Advisors coach students by phone, email or in person at our offices on campus. We are also available to you by phone or email when you’re away from the Evanston campus, for instance, on your Global quarter, in one of our news bureaus, etc.

Our advising and programming process covers a variety of career management issues, including job search strategies, resume and cover letter review and interview preparation.

If you would like an individual career advising session, please see our instructions on how to request an appointment through MEDILLINK, our career management system.  If you still have questions call MCS at 847-491-2049 and our Program Assistant will help you with the process.
