Sponsor a Journalism Residency or IMC Team Project
Sponsorship of a residency will give you the opportunity to work closely with Medill students for 11 weeks and build a long-term relationship with the school. Undergraduate journalism students in their junior or senior year complete residencies at a variety of media outlets and marketing organizations. Residencies occur in the fall, winter and spring quarters. For more information on sponsoring an undergraduate journalism residency please contact Mark LaMet at mtlamet@northwestern.edu.
During the summer, graduate IMC students work in teams to complete projects for employers in the U.S. and abroad. Projects are rigorous and related to high-level objectives of participating organizations, and are designed to address major marketing and communications challenges. For more information, see what IMC students are doing this summer or contact Caitlin Crotty, caitlin-crotty@northwestern.edu.
Sponsor a Class Project
Would you like to set a group of bright, motivated students against a real business challenge in your organization? Several Medill classes in IMC and Journalism put students in teams to work on client-sponsored projects. Please contact one of our staff members (see our staff directory) and we will connect you with the appropriate faculty member.
Sponsor an Orientation or Networking Session
Make students aware of your organization by sponsoring an event on campus. Orientations and networking events throughout the year are a great way to meet students informally and begin building relationships with potential employees. Please contact an MCS staff member for more information.
