Medill celebrates 2016 Hall of Achievement honorees

Medill selected six alumni to be inducted into the 2016 Hall of Achievement this year. Four accepted their awards in-person at a ceremony on May 12 at the Chicago History Museum. Among the winners are three Pulitzer Prize winners, a top marketing executive from Samsung, the Washington bureau chief of the New York Times and an ESPN Radio host.

Call for entries: James Foley Medill Medal for Courage in Journalism

The Medill Medal is awarded to the individual or team of journalists working for a U.S. based media outlet who best displays moral, ethical or physical courage in the pursuit of a story or series of stories. There is a $5,000 prize associated with the award. We encourage all journalists to submit articles written in 2014, or nominate a peer to do so, before March 30.
