Exclusive Opportunities

While a student at Medill, you’ll have opportunities designed uniquely for IMC students.

We have programs tailored to the life of a busy working professional, allowing you to participate in committees remotely and take one- to four-week IMC courses outside Chicago.

Hands-on experiences

We believe that hands-on experiences in marketing communications are a valuable way to put what you’re learning in the classroom into context. Furthermore, these allow you to have experiences you can draw on in future job interviews and in your career.

We also believe in the power of learning about IMC in new contexts. We have programs that allow you to travel and study IMC in other places. These programs give you a view of IMC through the lens of new cultures, helping you to better understand consumers and different marketplaces.

You will have opportunities to:

  • Meet top marketing communications professionals
  • Practice your skills with in-class projects for real clients
  • Learn about insights and innovation in San Francisco
  • Take a four-week course in London taught by IMC faculty
  • See IMC in action at various companies in Asia
  • Join and lead student committees
