For newly admitted IMC students:
A representative of the IMC Orientation Committee will be contacting you to offer congratulations and answer questions about life as an IMC student at Medill. If you have not yet visited Medill, we encourage you to do so.

IMC Orientation (full-time): Thursday and Friday, September 18 & 19, 2008

 
         **For all newly admitted Medill graduate students**

Once you've made the decision to enroll in Medill's graduate program, here are the formal steps to take to finalize your enrollment:
 
• Submit a non-refundable $500 tuition deposit to the Office of Graduate Admissions with the blue Deposit Remittance Form that was included with your acceptance packet. This deposit holds your seat in the class, and will be applied towards your tuition once you enroll. Checks should be made out to Northwestern University.
 
• Your NetID and temporary password (which will allow you to set up your Northwestern email account) will be mailed to you either with your admission packet, or separately shortly thereafter.  It is very important to activate your account as this will become the preferred means of communication leading up to your arrival on campus. 

• If you are eligible for and plan to apply for financial aid, complete all required documents (see Financial Aid for Admitted Students ) and submit to the Medill Financial Aid Office.
 
• Be sure to read about the technical equipment you will be required to bring --  get information on computer and software specifications . A hard copy letter about this equipment will also be included the admissions packet that is being mailed to you. 
**Important update for Mac users: You will no longer need to purchase a third-party emulation software solution nor a copy of Windows XP SP2 to enable you to use your Mac at Medill.  
 
• Submit the Admissions Health Record and Insurance Coverage Selection Forms to Northwestern University Health Services. Failure to submit these forms will delay your registration. DO NOT send these forms to the Medill Graduate Admissions Office.
 
• Be sure the Medill Office of Graduate Admissions has an official copy of your final transcript showing the date your bachelor's degree was awarded by your undergraduate institution. This is applicable if you were still finishing your degree when you were accepted to Medill.
