Innovate

Media companies are looking for journalistic innovators—people who can create publications, experiment with technologies and discover what audiences need. Graduate students can participate in one of three innovation projects, working in an immersive team setting to solve real problems for and with media organizations.

MAGAZINE

Hinge, a tablet-native magazine, was created by students to intertwine current events with their historical significance using culturally relevant, interactive media.

INTERACTIVE

Students in the 2011 Summer Interactive Innovation created two products to help consumers learn more about their online privacy.

MAGAZINE

Students came up with ideas to help Abroad View relaunch and re-establish itself as a valuable source for students interested in study abroad opportunities.

COMMUNITY MEDIA

Students worked with The Chicago Reporter to help build the publication's online presence.
