Jenna Massey

Assistant Professor

Jenna Massey is an assistant professor of IMC at Medill. She also serves as director of Medill IMC’s global initiatives. She was previously the director of the IMC Full-Time and Online programs and director of Asia initiatives for Medill.

Massey's industry experience includes both global agency and international client-side work, Fortune 500 companies as well as a small startup. She worked in McCann-Erickson, Motorola and Samsung marketing communications departments in Asia prior to moving to the United States. The wide range of projects she was responsible for included well-known global brands such as MasterCard, UPS, Nestle and aspiring luxury brands such as Tiffany and Salvatore Ferragamo. After graduating from the IMC program in 2006, she worked as a director of product marketing at a startup company before returning to Medill as a faculty member.

As director of Medill’s Asia initiatives, Massey successfully developed partnerships with prestigious universities in Asia. Under her leadership, Medill established official partnerships with Peking University and Tsinghua University in China, City University of Hong Kong and Hong Kong Baptist University, and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. In Massey's more recent role as director of Medill IMC’s global initiatives, she has developed multiple new global academic programs including a five-week study abroad two-unit course in London, a student exchange program with Sciences Po in Paris, and a dual-degree program with three leading universities in Asia: Peking University in Beijing, City University of Hong Kong in Hong Kong and Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Massey also serves as faculty advisor for the Medill Asian Student Association, a student committee aiming to provide platforms and resources for Asian students to achieve both academic and professional success.


Massey received her bachelor of arts in advertising from Peking University in China and a master of science in integrated marketing communications from Medill.
