While a student at Medill, you’ll have opportunities designed uniquely for IMC students.

We have programs tailored to the life of a busy working professional, allowing you to participate in committees remotely and take one- to four-week IMC courses outside Chicago.

Hands-on experiences

We believe that hands-on experiences in marketing communications are a valuable way to put what you’re learning in the classroom into context. Furthermore, these allow you to have experiences you can draw on in future job interviews and in your career.

We also believe in the power of learning about IMC in new contexts. We have programs that allow you to travel and study IMC in other places. These programs give you a view of IMC through the lens of new cultures, helping you to better understand consumers and different marketplaces.

Flexible courses

If you have a quarter where you need more flexibility in your schedule, the IMC Online program allows you to take courses when and where you want, while still remaining an IMC Part-Time student and taking the majority of your classes on site at Medill Chicago.

Research with Faculty

As a student in the IMC program, you can work with faculty on research projects through the Medill IMC Spiegel Research Center. The center conducts evidence-based, data driven analysis to prove the relationship between customer engagement and purchase behavior.
