Media Innovation and Content Strategy Seminar

A required first-quarter course in the Media Innovation & Content Strategy specialization, this class examines the forces responsible for the transformation of media, journalism and marketing in the early 21st century.  Through readings and class discussions, students will come to understand the implications of changes in user/audience behavior, technology and the business of media and marketing.  Our central theme is media innovation – the process of creating and growing publications and media products.  Students will apply what they’ve learned to a proposal for a new media product, either as a media business or as a component of an organization’s content strategy.
