Reuters-NABJ Fellowship
Medill School’s fellowship with Reuters and the National Association of Black Journalists supports students who are interested in business, politics or foreign affairs reporting.
The fellowship is awarded to an outstanding student and includes:
- $40,000 scholarship to assist with tuition for the Medill graduate journalism program
- Three-month summer internship at Reuters in New York
- Opportunities to meet with and be mentored by Reuters editors during your year at Medill
Who may apply
The fellowship is open to students who are accepted and enroll at Medill to start in the summer quarter, preferably. To be considered, the applicant must be a member of NABJ.
How to apply
Submit an application to Medill by the deadline to start in summer quarter and submit an additional essay in the “MSJ Essays” section of the application to indicate your interest in the fellowship. You must also demonstrate your membership in NABJ.
Additional financial aid
Students eligible for federal financial aid (U.S. citizens or permanent residents) can submit the FAFSA to receive information on federal student loans. All students may also research private loans.
