Communications and Persuasive Messages

IMC 454-6 (Elective)

This course will teach students how to be more effective communicators in their roles as marketing professionals. Each week, you will have the opportunity to hone your skills as a writer, speaker, negotiator and brand advocate. The course will begin with an overview of persuasion theory and communications fundamentals. The course will then show how those principles apply to the most common communications channels that marketers use today, including: websites, email marketing, content marketing, advertising, live presentations and negotiations.

Advisory notes for online students: Prior coursework recommended would be IMC 455 Consumer Insight.
