Medill announces application open, all graduate journalism specializations will start in fall quarter

GRE/GMAT no longer required

MSJ Applications Open.

EVANSTON, ILL. -- Be among the first to apply to Medill’s Master of Science in Journalism for the class of 2025. Applications are now open to begin the program in Fall 2024 with two important updates.

First, Medill will no longer require GRE/GMAT scores for graduate journalism programs. Submitting these test results will be optional. Second, starting in Fall 2024, all students, regardless of specialization, will begin their graduate journalism studies in September in Chicago.

“We believe it’s important to welcome students into our program at the same time. This will allow students to better meet their fellow classmates, explore their learning options and create community through a sense of shared experience,” said Medill Associate Dean for Journalism Beth Bennett.
