Jerry Dow

Jerry Dow (MSA89) was inducted into the Medill Hall of Achievement in 2010.

Dow is currently a partner with Atlas Digital. Previously, he was chief marketing and sales officer for Suddenlink Communications in St. Louis.

Before that, he was a member of the Vanguard Car Rental leadership team. Dow was responsible for all marketing, advertising, reservations and e-commerce activities for both the National and Alamo car rental brands. Vanguard, owned by Cerberus Capital Management, successfully rebuilt both brands from bankruptcy and sold the business to Enterprise Rent a Car in August 2007.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University and master’s degree from Medill, Dow went on to become account supervisor at Leo Burnett for seven years, working with brands such as Kraft and Sealy. For four years, he served as managing director at United Airlines, receiving an Emmy nomination for the United “Rhapsody” campaign.

Dow has received seven Effie awards.
