Judy Markey

Markey (BSJ65) has been a broadcaster, novelist and journalist.

She co-hosted “Kathy and Judy” on WGN-AM for twenty years. The show became Chicago's top-rated midday radio program. Twice the show won “Best Major Market Talk Show” by the National Association of Women in Radio and Television.

For 16 years she chronicled the insanities of contemporary life in her syndicated column for the Chicago Sun-Times.

Markey's first novel, "The Daddy Clock," published in 1998 by Bantam Books, received glowing reviews in The New York Times, London Express and Denver Post. Immediately optioned by Touchstone Pictures, the book has been translated into five languages.

Her second novel, "Just Trust Me," was released in 2005 and she is currently at work on her third. Markey's first two book collections of her syndicated columns were "How to Survive Your High School Reunion and Other Mid-Life Crises" and "You Only Get Married for the First Time Once."

Markey was named one of Chicago's "One Hundred Most Influential Women" by Crain's Chicago Business and one of the "Top One Hundred Talk Show Hosts" in the country by Talkers magazine, a trade publication serving the talk radio industry.
