Cost of Attendance

The estimated cost of attendance is used to help guide students’ financial planning, to determine financial aid eligibility and to award federal loans to students applying for federal aid. It includes University direct charges such as tuition and fees, and estimated expenses for standard living, books and supplies, room and board, and transportation.

All students are charged tuition, an activity fee and student health insurance* (*unless it is waived by Northwestern Health Services)

Estimated expenses are not billed to students. Actual amounts will vary depending on budgeting decisions made by students and financial aid eligibility. Estimated expenses include expenses related to room and board, transportation, supplies and personal expenses.
