Donald McAllister Jr.

Donald McAllister Jr. (MSJ71) is a member of the inaugural class of the Medill Hall of Achievement class of 1997.

Since his graduation from Medill, McAllister Jr. has provided a link between the school and specialized business publications. McAllister's family and company have endowed two residencies, a top management fellowship and an editorial fellowship awarded respectively by the American Business Press and the Business Press Educational Foundation.

These fellowships have hosted visiting CEOs and editors from such leading companies/publications as McGraw-Hill, Hearst, and PC World.

McAllister Jr. was chair of Geyer-McAllister Publications Inc., New York, which was founded in 1877 by his great-uncle, Andrew Geyer. He became a member of Medill’s board of visitors in 1993. McAllister received a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University.
