Edward H. Vick

Edward H. Vick (MSA71) is a member of the inaugural class of the Medill Hall of Achievement of 1997.

Vick retired in 2001 as chairman and chief executive officer of Young & Rubicam Advertising Worldwide, the flagship operating unit of Young & Rubicam Inc., a worldwide leader in marketing communications. Clients of Y&R included AT&T, American Home Products, Colgate-Palmolive, Ford Motor Company, Miller Brewing, Kraft, Sears, and Xerox.

From 1994 to 1996, Vick served as president and CEO of Y&R New York, the largest operating unit of Y&R Advertising. From 1992 to 1994, he was president and CEO of Landor Associates, the San Francisco-based worldwide identity consultancy and design firm. Vick began his career with Benton & Bowles, was a senior vice president of Ogilvy & Mather, then president and chief operating officer of Ammirati & Puris and president and CEO of Levine, Huntley, Vick, and Beaver.
