R. Bruce Dold

R. Bruce Dold (BSJ77, MSJ78) won the 1994 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing for a series of editorials about the death of a 3-year-old boy at the hands of his mother. Dold was a member of the Chicago Tribune Editorial Board when he wrote the series. The Pulitzer citation honoring Dold read, "For editorials deploring the murder of a 3-year-old boy by his abusive mother and decrying the Illinois child welfare system."
