Jeffrey Marx

In 1986, Jeffrey Marx (BSJ84) was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting. Marx is the youngest journalist to win a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting, which was given to him for a series of reports about college basketball cheating. Marx wrote the series as a journalist for the Lexington Herald-Leader.

Marx pursued a career in freelance journalism after the Herald-Leader, writing for publications such as Newsweek, Time, Sports Illustrated and The Washington Post. He wrote The New York Times bestseller Season of Life, among several other books.
