Richard C. Christian Award

Richard C. Christian Award

This award is dedicated to the late Dick Christian, one of the founders of Burson-Marsteller, a global public relations and communications company. His service to Medill began in the early 1980s, when he served as associate dean. Christian was pivotal in leading Medill's transition from awarding master of science degrees in advertising to master's degrees in Integrated Marketing Communications. He retired in 1999 and died in 2009. Christian cared deeply about students and their education. Hence, this award recognizes students who make notable contributions to advancing the learning experience for themselves and their peers.

IMC faculty members select the recipients of the Richard C. Christian Award and honor them at the graduation convocation.
