Robert E. “Buck” Buchanan Award

This award is dedicated to Medill alumnus Buck Buchanan, who retired in 1985 from J. Walter Thompson Co. as executive vice president and director of media. The award is presented to outstanding integrated marketing communications students who have demonstrated academic excellence.

Buchanan (BSJ40, MSJ41) spent 30 years at J. Walter Thompson. Prior to that, he served in the Army Air Force Intelligence in the South Pacific during World War II.
