Angela Rozas O’Toole is an adjunct instructor at the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications.

Rozas O’Toole also works at Chicago Public Media/WBEZ as the senior editor of the government and politics desk. Under her tenure, the team has won numerous awards for investigative, health and political reporting, including several National Edward R. Murrow and National Headliners awards.

Rozas O’Toole is a veteran journalist with 25 years of experience who values accountability journalism that exposes wrongdoing, informative journalism that connects the public to the world around them, and narrative journalism that explores our humanity.

She spent nearly two decades at the Chicago Tribune, where she was a deputy metro editor, overseeing politics and criminal justice reporting. As a reporter, Rozas O’Toole covered general assignment and criminal justice issues and was a co-winner of a National Headliners Award for reporting on domestic violence.

She previously worked at The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune and has an M.S. from Columbia University in New York and a B.A. from Louisiana State University.
