
Debra Ceffalio
Adjunct Lecturer
Debra Ceffalio is an accomplished senior communications leader who has led the corporate communications function at two Fortune 500 companies. She is the founder of Wildwood Communications, a consulting firm focused on advising current and aspiring Chief Communications Officers.
Previously, Ceffalio served as SVP, Corporate Communications at Albertsons Companies, a food and drug retailer with 280,000 associates. In this role, she redesigned the strategy and operating model of the communications function and played a key role in communicating the proposed $24.6 billion merger of Albertsons and Kroger.
Earlier in her career, Ceffalio was VP, Corporate Communications at US Foods, where she led communications for the company's IPO and launched the US Foods Scholars program to support young people pursuing culinary careers.
Ceffalio’s experience includes advising four CEOs and leading communications for multiple high-stakes corporate milestones including divestitures, transformation initiatives, restructuring efforts and crisis situations. She has also helped organizations articulate their purpose, strengthen their workplace culture and expand their community impact.
Ceffalio graduated from Trinity University in Texas and earned her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications at Medill.
