Lindsay Claiborn is an adjunct lecturer at Medill in Washington, DC.
Claiborn is an Emmy and Webby award-winning journalist with 20 years of experience in video and digital reporting and working with legacy newsrooms into the digital space. Most recently, Claiborn helped lead TEGNA’s national fact-checking brand, VERIFY. At VERIFY, she managed a team that produced content for local TV stations across the country as well national audiences across YouTube, streaming platforms and social media.
Previously, Claiborn oversaw video producer teams supporting 30 newsrooms at McClatchy. She also worked as a digital producer at FOX Sports and FOX Soccer. She started her career as a video journalist at Reuters in Los Angeles and Washington, DC.
Claiborn received her master’s degree from Medill and her B.A in Government and Film Studies from Claremont McKenna College.
