Adjunct Lecturer
Megan Rose is an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism, Media, Integrated Marketing Communications. She is also a full-time investigative reporter at ProPublica.
Rose won the Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting in 2020 and was a finalist in investigative reporting in 2026. She has been working in accountability journalism for more than 20 years. Her work took her overseas, reporting from Iraq and Afghanistan during the wars and covering the U.S. military in the Pacific and elsewhere.
Rose’s work exposes violations of the public trust. Her reporting has resulted in wrongfully convicted men clearing their names, government officials being fired and Congressional inquiries. She spends extensive time on the ground getting to know the people she writes about, producing in depth, nuanced stories.
