Tell us about your career path. How did you get where you are today?

I started working at OMD USA after graduation. I sought internal rotations that would expose me to different aspects of Marketing Science in the agency world such as Data Operations, Campaign Reporting, Audience Analytics.

What are your main responsibilities in your current role?

Managing the ELT processes of a global skincare client’s media data by integrating multiple data sources, loading into Amazon Redshift, and transforming into Tableau dashboards for reporting and media investment optimization. Analyzing event level log data on Amazon Marketing Cloud Clean Room and Google Ads Data Hub by querying the data with SQL for innovative media budget optimizations and audience strategy.

How did the Medill Integrated Marketing Communications Full Time program prepare you for your career?

Medill IMC has given me both the knowledge and the maturity a modern marketer needs to have. The program enabled me to internalize the state-of-the-art principles of marketing. This knowledge has earned me recognition in my current career as a well-rounded analyst.

What did you do during Immersion Quarter?

During Immersion QuarterI worked with the Qiagen team on their molecular diagnostics business line. Specifically for the marketing strategy of NeuMoDx, an innovative sample testing device.

What is a class or experience that stick out in your mind and why?

Analyzing data to answer business questions, especially through machine learning, has empowered me greatly. Ed Malthouse's classes, where we developed models and interpreted results, were my favorite. The ability to start with a question, gather data, build models, and interpret results is a valuable skill in my field, and I've seen its impact firsthand through positive feedback.

How has Medill Career Services helped you?

I was able to get resume review help from them. I was also connected with some alumni that were working in my area of interest for mentorship and career opportunities.

What advice would you give to someone considering the Medill Integrated Marketing Communications Full Time program?

This program provides a solid foundation in Integrated Marketing Communications while allowing for exploring other areas that might impact consumer experience like product management and design. I would suggest researching and contacting with as many alumni as possible to craft a roadmap before getting into the program.
