How to apply

Submit an application to Medill by the deadline to start in the Sports Media specialization in the fall quarter. You must also submit this additional essay in the “MSJ Essays” section of the application:

In 750 words or fewer, tell us about your past experiences in sports reporting and how Medill’s Sports Media specialization will shape your professional career. Consider writing about:

  • A specific learning experience you have had in sports reporting that will help you be successful in Medill’s Sports Media specialization
  • What sports related stories are you interested in telling at Medill?
