Marketing Public Relations

(Elective Course)

Marketing Public Relations teaches how public relations contributes to integrated marketing communications efforts and business outcomes. The course will use foundational concepts, case studies and current marketplace examples to ground students in the core principles and best practices of the discipline. Students will gain hands-on experience through writing labs, real-world project work and class discussions designed to build message development, strategic thinking and data analysis skills related to public relations. When possible, industry leaders will be invited to speak to help punctuate lesson topics and discussion.
